There is always some doubt and potential risk when it comes to choosing a capital city as a holiday destination. When I booked the tickets and reserved a room in one of the luxury hotels in Delhi, I was suddenly taken over by the usual disappointment and uncertainty. The flight was not long but did not alleviate the doubts I had, what if it’s just a bureaucratic maze or a dull, boring city with rules and regulations but no meaningful laws? By the time I had landed at the swanky airport, I was a surer of my choice, thanks to my i-Phone that let me visit The Park Hotels' website that, at least virtually, painted quite a picture.
With a cab awaiting my arrival, I chose to take the long route to hotel to get a feel of the city and asked the driver to give me a tour. Though the driver was doing his job of driving with utmost sincerity, his knowledge of the city's climate, geography, history and even politics startled me. By the time i checked in and entered my room, all my fears were gone. Hotels in Delhi not only do justice to this city's magnificence but rather add to it.
